Welcome to the April 2022 edition of the Future Leaders Communiqué. This edition focuses on the preventable death of a six-year-old child from sepsis. Sepsis is one of the leading causes of mortality in children worldwide. Despite this, timely recognition and management of sepsis in children remains a significant challenge to clinicians and healthcare systems.
